Taylor’s dazzling choreography—acclaimed world wide for its inventiveness, versatility, vision, and wit—turns the exuberant and expansive nature of American culture into breathtaking art of heart-wrenching beauty. Paul Taylor classics will be performed by Taylor 2 - Paul Taylor's 6 member ensemble that he created to present his work without limitations in various venues including outdoor sites. Through their wonderful performances Taylor 2 has introduced the athleticism, humor, and emotional range of Paul Taylor's work to new and diverse audiences worldwide. Paul Taylor is regarded as a living legend. He has been a recipient of more than 50 awards and honors, including the United States National Medal of Arts, a Kennedy Center Honor, a MacArthur Fellowship (the "genius award"), and a knighthood from the French government. Taylor founded the Paul Taylor Dance Company in 1962 and Taylor 2 in 1993.
